Our principal services include a wide range of high resolution direct georeferenced imagery, LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) along with 4K and thermal video capture. These tools allows us in a single pass to collect very detailed surface and features data in combination with our imagery products. LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging)

LiDAR is a well established laser-based aerial mapping technology predominantly used for surveying topographical features and various infrastructure. RME Geomatics has specifically developed its capabilities for the use of the latest in multiple return LiDAR technology.  The new Riegl VUX-1 UAV/LR are industry leading LiDAR sensors, which is currently deployed exclusively on the UAV by RME in Canada. 

The use of LiDAR creates a cost-effective way of collecting large amounts of high resolution surface and feature data with or without vegetation cover. Our sensor array is designed specifically for our Renegade UAV platform but is transferable to helicopter platforms for larger scale projects if needed.  Classified LiDAR data is provided to our clients in a number of deliverables including bare earth/full feature models, vegetation heights and analysis, 3D feature analysis, volume reports and contour maps.

Photogrammetry

At RME Geomatics, we offer a wide variety camera options for orthophoto, multispectral, thermal infrared and video capture on our stabilized platforms.  This imagery can produce colour orthophoto mosaics, vegetation indices (including but not limited to NDVI, SAVI, etc.)) & CIR (colour infrared) photos & thermal imagery.  These high resolution imagery products are used in numerous industries during the complete project lifecycle. 

Our direct geo-referencing technology requires less ground control allowing for a more efficient workflow and reduced field time.  This allows us to deliver photogrammetry products in a very timely and cost effective manner.  Additionally we can generate point cloud data from the photos for basic volumetric or contour analysis.
